I get what you are saying, Karen. Sometimes we step over dollars to pick up pennies. If you spend 2 hours a week cleaning or doing laundry, you have to ask yourself what your time is worth. It's often less than what you would spend hiring someone to help you with these things. Then, if you are purposeful in spending those two hours following up with prospects and closing business, you begin to realize that you didn't just get help, you made a smart business decision!

I hired a cleaning lady over 30 years ago. I don't know what about having a dirty house made me feel like I wasn't doing my "job" - even while I was working 60+ hours a week. Keep in mind my husband also shared in the housework and laundry but both of us were putting in so many hours, the housework just wasn't getting done to my/our standards. I did the dollar cost per hour and discovered it was better for me to be at work and hire someone to make my house sparkle.
